Grey Iron Grades
The most common engineering alloy because of its relatively low cost and good machinability.
Ductile Iron Grades
Ductile iron has much more impact and fatigue resistance, due to its nodular graphite inclusions.
Modified Ductile Iron Grades
Strengthened ferritic spheroidal graphite cast iron grades (SSFDI) with improved machinability and austempered ductile iron (ADI).
